Winter Protection
(No User Tips)
The young plants are sensitive to frost.
If young beetroot plants are exposed to frost they develop a tendency to run to seed.
This is why you should protect the young plants from frost or first sow in the spring and, if there's a late frost, cover with a fleece or with straw.
Cultivation
(No User Tips)
Beetroot is not very demanding.
- Before sowing, soak the seeds for a few hours in rain water
- Water sufficiently
Tips:
- The small beetroot, so-called "baby beets" variety are particularly tender and do not need a lot of space.
- Sow closer together and harvest the baby beets continuously.
- To be able to harvest beetroot in autumn, you should first plant from early summer.

Pests: Voles.

Lift
the plants a bit in the morning and in the evening

Storage
(No User Tips)
Beetroot can be stored for a few weeks in
a cool cellar with no problems.

(No User Tips)
