Hi all,
I purchased some online seeds from an organic online store which included carrot and beet seeds.
I sowed my carrots this year too early following a planting calendar I found somewhere on the internet. No germination has occurred for over 1.5 weeks and I just learned that they like a 75-degree soil temperature. It has been sunny and high 60's the last couple of days, so that may help.
My black garden hose sits in the sun and the water gets hot. What are your thoughts?
Same problem with beetroot seeds, but I get conflicting information on the soil temperature that they prefer.
What about putting black plastic over them?
